You know how life is often…so unexpected…I mean really…UNEXPECTED?
This week I have been reminded of life’s rude interruptions.
This is first full week of my summer break from school and four weeks from the arrival of my son, daughter-in-love, and granddaughter from South Korea. Let me preface this by saying I have not seen these precious humans (other than Face Time and Facebook)in two years. I have not touched them or hugged them in…two…years. So to tell you I have been beyond giddy at the thought of their visit is an understatement.
And the list of little projects I need to do around the house to prepare for their visit?
Oh my word… it is daunting to say the least.
The unexpected happens. And the unexpected throws everything into the blender.
A long dismissed degenerative disc issue rears its untimely head and things stop…
you can’t bend over to tie your walking shoes… and you can’t get up out your chair without horrific groaning and some really strained unattractive movements.
Beauty sleep is disrupted, and everything combined makes me irritable and teary. Poor husband.
My unexpected inconvenience has now become his burden. Bless. Him.
