Dancing in the Dressing Room…Just for Fun!

Sometimes…

you have no choice…

…it just happens.
Dancing in the Dressing Room

shopping

Innocently…

It’s the combination of modeling  cute clothes in private and seriously fabulous music pumping through the store dressing room.

And when your happy song (“Little Black Dress” by Sara Barielles – click to listen to the song)  comes on

well…

HONEY…lock the door!

“I‘ll get my little black dress on

And if I put on my favorite song

I’m gonna dance until you’re all gone

I’ll get my little black dress on.

I got my little black dress on
And if I tell myself that nothing’s wrong
This doesn’t have to be a sad song
Not with my little black dress on…”

Before you know it, your body is swaying, you are turning around, shaking your hips and then…

you find yourself fully in the moment

dancing  and singing in the dressing room of your favorite store…

The mirrors are kind, you could care less if others are listening,

and the flattering backlit full length mirrors show you only what you want to see…

AND you are happy!

These are gentler, more merciful moments as opposed to those horrid pasty pale early spring bathing suit shopping excursions…

when you are facing the grim realities of extra winter poundage…

I am not a big fan of shopping, but  I have a favorite shop – J Jill.

This is one of the only places I ever try on clothes. I love their spacious dressing rooms…

The precious sales attendants  know me by name,

the lights in the dressing room whisper lovely things to me…

their music is a little eclectic and jazzy…sporting some  attitude…

The beauty, now,  is that shopping  and trying on new outfits becomes an aerobic activity…

I honestly hope that there are no cameras behind the mirrors…

What a show this would be!

Sassy music

increases the chances that I am going to spend money on

sassy clothes.

AND did I mention…

their music is fabulous…

I spend a good bit of money there.
